Ever since I made our vertical succulent garden I have been hooked on these sweet little plants!  These succulent in seashell planters make great Christmas gifts or housewarming gifts!  Any beach lover would adore getting one of these cuties especially when they find out that you made it!

Instructions for making a succulent in seashell planter

     DIY gift idea for beach lover 

Make sure your shell doesn’t have any large holes on the back side.  Then simply put the succulent soil in the shell, you’ll only need a bit.  



Gently remove the succulent plant from it’s container and place it in the dirt in the shell.  You can use just one or a few, it’s up to you.

Perfect gift for plant lover  

I like to add a little moss to cover the dirt but again, that’s up to you.

Pop a gift tag on and you’re done!

  1. What a cute little planter idea, I love succulents and any succulent lover would be thrilled to get this as a gift. I think I have all of those and the little one at the bottom puts off the cutest orange flower shoots. Succulents always give such unexpected surprises.
