Calming colors for Master Bedroom
We are craving a calm peaceful master bedroom. To accomplish this, we’ve chosen soothing colors. Our inspiration for the color pallet is this beautiful print from Jetty Home. The plan is pulling one of the darker blue/greys for the wall color.
Mixing Coastal Textures
I love combining different textures. Materials that say coastal to me include-
- rope, jute, twine
- cotton, linen and denim
- caning and wicker
- sea glass
Master Bedroom Storage Ideas
Since our master bedroom closet isn’t very large, we’re trying to figure out ways to incorporate more storage.
- This wooden trunk would be perfect at the end of the bed for storing our extra bedding. I like it’s coastal farmhouse style.
- Armoire with caning– this versatile piece could hold so much stuff!
- End stands with storage– I am looking for two similar but not exact end stands for either side of the bed. The soft green of this end stand is so pretty. I also like how this one has caning but it’s not too obvious.
- Under Bed Storage– Under the bed is the perfect spot for storage. I have ordered this set for my shoes and this set for our out of season clothes.
Pretty Linens and Bedding
One of the few things that I don’t mind splurging on is high quality bedding. If you’re going to spend 8 hours a night on your sheets they should be super soft and cozy!
Pottery Barn is my favorite place to find beautiful bedding.
I also love Serena and Lily, especially their blue and white options.
