Coastal Farmhouse Fall Home Tour

Welcome to our Coastal Farmhouse Fall Home Tour!

It’s officially Fall!  I am pretty excited because Fall happens to be one of my three favorite seasons!  A huge thanks to my friend Deb at Seeking Lavender Lane who has coordinated this amazing Farmhouse Fall Tour featuring over 30 fabulous bloggers and to Kirklands who is generously sponsoring this post and a $1500 giveaway!  If you are visiting from my buddy Ty’s blog Little Home Reloved a special welcome to you!  Don’t you love Ty’s cozy Fall style?

Speaking of cozy Fall style, let me show you all our coastal farmhouse inspired Fall decor!

For our Summer home tour we started on the front porch so let’s head in the side door this time where we enter into our mudroom.  I showed you a bit of our mudroom refresh last week with our Family Command Center.

I added some fun Fall decor items to the table.  My blogging buddy Laurie (VinYet Etc) posted about her gorgeous Fall tablescape with grey accents and I knew our Fall decor had to have a bit of grey so I painted this little candlestick lamp that I have had forever and added this cute little seahorse dish to hold our dock key.

I love this glass candle holder from Kirklands.  I know I will use it year round.  I already have plans for faux snow in there next season that I won’t mention because it’s not one of my three favorites.  The cute birch candles are from Kirklands too.

You can’t see it well under all my pumpkins and seashells but this galvanized metal and wood bowl is so cute!  I can think of so many uses for it.seashells and pumpkins

We recently built this little bench using plans from Sandra at Sawdust Girl.  Her plans are so easy to follow and she’s super sweet and helpful.  If you are looking to build something check her site for plans first.

I love letters all over our home.  So when this monogram pumpkin was the deal of the day when I was in the Kirklands store, I grabbed it!

This cute Thankful pillow is from Lisa at Farmhouse on Boone.  She’s so talented!  Her pillows and her home are gorgeous and she creates fun tutorials too. She also happens to be the Sand Dollar Lane Box brand rep this month!

Dining Area

If you’ve visited our blog before you probably know that our main living area is one large open square with the kitchen, dining area and living room.  I love how open a bright it is. (Except when someone comes to the door when there’s a sink full of dirty dishes, then I wish we had a closed in kitchen!)

I dressed up our $20 FB marketplace find (don’t you just love a good find?!) starting with a burlap runner.  I carefully cut some pampas grass from the yard and popped it in a rusty green sap bucket with dried hydrangeas (also from the yard).  I have a set of three of these sap buckets from a local boutique and I use them as often as I can.  Sadly the green one is so rusty this may be his last appearance.  He’s falling apart pretty badly.

I used Kirklands three tier tray to corral some pumpkins, greenery, cotton orbs and dishes.  I actually took the tray apart and used it as a two tier tray on the sideboard and the bottom piece as a regular tray on the table.

I placed our wooden cutting boards in a metal basket. I love to mix different textures and wood and metal just look great together to me.

How sweet are these little white pumpkins?

Living Area

The neutral color scheme continues in the living room. I definitely lean toward whites, tans, blues and greens so I can’t get myself to bring much orange’y and red colors in, not even for Fall.

Apparently, I have no problem bringing in pumpkins!  There are at least two dozen in the house right now.  I think blue, green and white pumpkins add Fall touches in a coastal farmhouse sort of way.pumpkins and seashells

I found this set of string wrapped apples at my local Kirklands store, and the seaglass bead garlands are from our shop.white pumpkin with greenery

I plan on doing a lot of baking this Fall but for now this cake stand holds a cute white pumpkin with some soft aqua colored greenery.

That’s it for our Fall home tour.  Be sure visit the next stop on the tour, Sara at Twelve on Main (you’re going to LOVE her Fall living room!) and also, don’t forget to enter the $1500 giveaway below!

  1. Lenn, it’s so nice to meet your and your blog on the Fall Home Tour. Love the coastal colors ~ we share the same color esthetic, except I’m nowhere near water of any sort. Such wonderful use of accessories. It’s not always easy to combine coastal with fall colors (no orange pumpkins for me either, although I love them in others’ homes.), but you have done a phenomenal job. Every room is just lovely.

    1. Thanks Lindsay! When we bought this house it didn’t have an entry way, that door just opened from the side yard into a large room. I am so glad we created the mudroom, we use it a lot!!

  2. Totally love your house and style! Even though I live in Ohio, I’ve always LOVED a beachy vibe in a home and plan to incorporate it a lot more into my next house! You’ve given me a ton of inspiration! So nice getting to “hop” with you this week!

    1. Thanks Jennifer! I love those old books! One of them is a math book from 1854 that someone (I like to think it was the little girl whose book it was) covered it with fabric. She must have liked math more than I do 🙂
